Description
We are proud to support the Marginalized Organic Producers Association (MOPA), a network of over 800 small-scale farmers, about half of whom are women, in the Uva and Central regions of Sri Lanka. These farmers grow spices and tea and are committed to organic and biodynamic agriculture. Most teaseven those that are certified as fair tradecome from large plantations where workers have little say and are trapped in a system of dependency. The small farmers who grow our teas control their land and their livelihoods. Together, were building an alternative tea model and a farmer-led future for the tea industry.
