Description
Grenadine syrup is made by combining sugar, pomegranate juice and cherry juice to create a distinctive blood-red color and sweet flavor. The word grenadine is derived from the French word for Pomegranate (grenade). It is extremely potent and versatile; hundreds of cocktails call for a splash of grenadine. It is used in such classic favorites as the Tequila Sunrise, Planters Punch, Pink Lade, Mai-Tai, Shirley Temple and Roy Rogers.
